Implementation Week
Welcome to implementation week.
As a reminder, Change happens in small steps and giving yourself a week to implement it is one of the most self-loyal things you can do.
The intention of this week is for you to get a chance to implement what you have been learning by practicing self-loyalty in your day-to-day life. I say this every time, but I want you to remember:
It is an act of self-loyalty to catch up or re-listen to past lessons.
It is an act of self-loyalty to take a few days off from thinking about self-loyalty.
It is an act of self-loyalty to listen to the Ask Nancy Jane episodes because you haven't had time.
It is an act of self-loyalty to start implementing what you have been learning in your real life.
The beauty of self-loyalty is that only you can decide—there is no right way to spend implementation week:)
If you are someone who wants more structure on how to piece all these ideas together, here is a tangible action step.
We talked about perfection on day 3 of our 1st week of the Beliefs theme, and perfection is one of the most common traits of high functioning anxiety. So I am focusing on perfection this week.
Here are five steps to curb perfectionism.
Step 1 Notice when your Monger comes chatting after you made a mistake.
Step 2. Own that you made a mistake. Remember, there is the mistake, and then there is the beating yourself up for the mistake.
Step 3. allowing the feelings around that mistake (anger, sadness, disappointment),
Step 4. Give yourself kindness (the mistake doesn't affect my worth).
Step 5 Do a post-mortem.
Do you need to make amends or do anything differently because of the mistake? Is there anything you can do to avoid the mistake in the future? Have a good week and if you have any questions, let me know via the Ask Nancy Jane form in the portal, and I will happily answer them! I will be back in your ears in a few days as we start the feelings theme of Spiral 2.
Take Care!
